Surgimap Spine Mentioned In Several More Publications

A recent literature search has found Surgimap Spine to be referenced in many Abstracts and online publications. Here are three reference points throughout 2011 showcasing how Surgimap Spine was used for image analysis purposes. What is evident from these articles and our surveys is that medical professionals prefer to use Surgimap Spine due to its ease of use and ability to quickly and consistently measure key parameters including RVAD, Lordosis, and Kyphosis. Surgimap Spine mentioned in “Der Orthopäde”

Surgimap Spine is listed as one of the two software packages to measure Sagittal Deformities. Specifically, the article mentions how Surgimap Spine can be used for case planning due to its Pelvic Parameter calculations allowing optimized patient care & treatment. Surgimap Spine Promotes Time Savings and Greater Effectiveness for Spine Surgeons

Surgimap Spine Is Now FDA Authorized

Surgimap Spine is now FDA Authorized as a Class IIa medical device. This follows closely to the CE & TGA clearance for pre-op case planning and outcome simulation. Surgimap Spine gives surgeons a tool for patient image organizing & measurements as well as procedure simulations. The Surgimap Spine software and all saved patient information is portable on a USB key.

On Aug 13, 2011 Nemaris Inc. released a beta version of the multi-platform Surgimap Spine software. This new release works on both Windows and Apple computers giving users true flexibility in work environments. Key features of this new release are:

Sneak Peak: Surgimap Spine for Apple Is Here

Nemaris Inc. is launching the next generation of Surgimap Spine that is capable of running on Windows and Mac platforms. In addition, the new release includes scout navigation, calendar, and multi series views. The beta release is set for July 13, 2011 at IMAST Copenhagen. If you are a Registered Surgimap Spine user and are interested in beta testing the new Surgimap Spine release your options are:

  • Visit our booth at IMAST (within DePuy booth # 27 & 28)
  • Attend one of our six other conference events later this year (Full Events List for 2011)

Surgimap Spine Receives EC Certificate; FDA Approval Pending

Nemaris Inc, the parent company of Surgimap is proud to announce successful completion of the TUV audit and receipt of the EC Certificate as shown below for the Surgimap Spine software. This marks a major milestone in our corporate growth. As per TUV SUD:

  • The Certification Body of TUV SUD Product Service GmbH declares that the aforementioned manufacturer has implemented a quality assurance system for design, manufacture and final inspection of the respective devices / device categories in accordance with MDD Annex II.
  • Scope of Certificate: Design and Development, Production and Distribution of Medical Imaging and Planning Software The Certification Body of TUV SUD Product Service GmbH certifies that the company mentioned above has established and is maintaining a quality system which meets the requirements of the listed standard(s).

Mac Release in July 2011

Surgimap Spine for the Mac platform is almost here. We have completed all our internal tests and will send an email to our registered users in early June looking for beta testers.


If you are already registered you do not have to do anything. An email will be sent to you soon with a link to download the Surgimap Spine Mac beta release.

The new Surgimap Spine release is multi-platform allowing both Windows and Mac computers to work with the same software and image database. In addition, we have incorporated new features & functionality including scout navigation, multi-series views, and an integrated calendar.

Nemaris announces office move to accommodate growth. New New York office transition should be completed by February 2010.

Testing on new platform initiated. This will offer full compatibility with Apple OS. In addition, enhanced features and database functionality will be introduced.

November 2009

Nemaris develops international website to support large international user base. Key features supported in international software release include advanced surgical planning tools. These tools will be available in US version pending completion of the 510k validation.

Surgimap Spine wins an award as Best New Spine Technology of 2009 in the diagnostics/imaging category. The technologies were judged according to their likelihood to advance the care of back patients using cost-effective innovation. Voting involved 34 independent reviewers with clinical experience.

Nemaris launches a major update to Surgimap Spine at IMAST 2009!
Key features of this latest version include enhanced database customization, ease of marked DICOM image export to common formats (jpg, bmp, png) and improved image browse features from patient CDs. Launch of an international marketing campaign and training program for surgeons is established. Several research studies are underway using Surgimap Spine as the quantitative image analysis tool.

Prior to the official launch of Surgimap Spine rapid adoption of the product has already taken place through surgeon networks. With only several hundred test licenses released a base of over 200 users has been established. The response by the surgeon community is overwhelming and underlines the substantial value offered by Surgimap Spine.

Surgimap Spine through collaboration with DePuy Spine (Raynham, Massachusetts) releases the latest version of the software to pioneers within the spine community. At the peer to peer summit, future applications and integration of Surgimap Spine is reviewed.
